Greenbriar Dolphin Swim Team

Welcome to the Greenbriar Swim Team Registration platform! The process is simple for both new and returning members. You'll get access to your own private account that will enable you to easily declare for meets, sign-up for jobs, maintain your own contact information, and more. The only requirements to joining the swim team are membership in the Greenbriar Pool Club (owner or renter), not older than 18 (as of June 1 of the current year), AND (for athletes younger than 13) pass the Swim Safe Test by the second B meet of the season.  Athletes who have not previously swam for the Greenbriar Swim Team may be asked to complete a swim skills assessment before their registration is approved.

Registration Deadline: The registration deadline for the 2026 season is May 11, 2026.

Registration will close on May 12 for team reps/coaches to evaluate numbers.  Registration will reopen (exact date window TBD) for age groups with space still available.  Registration during the second round will incur a late fee of $25 per family.  Round two of registration will close on Friday, May 22.

Registration Fees (no change from previous year):

Refund Policy: Partial refunds will be given at the discretion of team reps if requested by May 29, 2026. The refund amount will be adjusted if team apparel has been collected.  See more information in the apparel and practice policy sections.

Team Apparel:  Registration of your swimmer includes a team swim suit, team swim cap (latex), and team t-shirt.  Once your 2026 Summer Registration has been approved you will be sent an email confirmation with instructions on how to get your swimmers’ apparel. Swimsuit and t-shirt sizes are available on a first-come, first-served basis for those registering after the registration deadline. Previous season team T-shirts and team caps may be substituted if current year versions have been depleted. Suits, T-Shirts and Swim Caps will be distributed at the pool upon arrival during afternoon practices (typically the first or second week).  Note that t-shirts and caps cannot be returned; therefore if you register your swimmer, you will not be refunded for those items should your swimmer ultimately drop from the roster.  Suits that have had their tags removed, regardless of condition, cannot be returned or exchanged for a different size. For late registrations, you will need to email the apparel team directly to order your team suit and shirt.  Quantities are limited and we may not be able to accommodate all sizes.

Practices: Practices will begin on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 (even with no school for FCPS).  Practices will transition to the morning once school is out.

Practice/meet Policy:  Swimmers may register and participate in AFTERNOON practices and Time Trials. Swim team members under the age of 13 are required to be Swim Safe Certified* in order to participate in MORNING practices and swim meets.

*Swim Safe Certified refers to passing the Swim Safe Test administered by pool lifeguards. Refer to the pool's rules page for more information.

Note:  To maximize a potential refund for a swimmer unable to pass the Swim Safe Test, the team swim suit will be held until the swimmer is certified as Swim Safe.
