2025 Greenbriar Dolphins Summer Swim Registration

Welcome to the Greenbriar Swim Team Registration platform! The process is simple for both new and returning members. You'll get access to your own private account that will enable you to easily declare for meets, sign-up for jobs, maintain your own contact information, and more. The only requirements to joining the swim team are membership in the Greenbriar Pool Club (owner or renter), not older than 18 (as of June 1, 2025), AND (for athletes younger than 13) pass the Swim Safe Test by the second B meet of the season (June 23, 2025).  Athletes who have not previously swam for the Greenbriar Swim Team may be asked to complete a swim skills assessment before their registration is approved.

Registration Deadline: The registration deadline for the 2025 season is May 13th, 2025; late registrations may be accepted until May 27, 2025 or until the team roster is full with a $25 late fee (per family).

Team Apparel:  Please Read: Registration of your swimmer includes a team swim suit, team swim cap (latex), and team t-shirt.  Once your 2025 Summer Registration has been approved you will be sent an email confirmation with instructions on how to get your swimmers’ apparel. Swimsuit and t-shirt sizes are available on a first-come, first-served basis for those registering after the registration deadline. Previous season team T-shirts and team caps may be substituted if current year versions have been depleted. Suits, T-Shirts and Swim Caps will be distributed at the pool upon arrival during afternoon practices (typically the first or second week).

Practices: Practices will begin on the afternoon of Tuesday, May 27, 2025.  Practices will transition to the morning once school is out.

NVSL Participation Waiver

As Parent/Guardian of the above-name minor(s), I grant permission for the swimmer(s) to participate in all activities of the Greenbriar Swim Team, a Northern Virginia Swimming League (NVSL) member team. I represent and warrant that my minor child/children participating on the Greenbriar Swim Team are in good health and have no physical condition, ailment or disability which renders them unable to participate in vigorous physical activity. For and in consideration of benefits derived from participation in the Greenbriar Swim Team program, I understand that the risk of injury to my child from the activities involved in these programs is significant, including the potential for permanent disability and death, and while particular rules, equipment, and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious injury does exist. I assume all risks and hazards arising out of, or related to, such participation, including, but not limited to, transportation to and from such activities, and do hereby indemnify, release and hold harmless the Greenbriar Swim Team, its coaches, team representatives, volunteers, property manager, employees and agents, as well as the Northern Virginia Swimming League, from all claims of any kind whatsoever which may arise or hereafter accrue in connection with my child’s/children’s participation in activities of the Greenbriar Swim Team. I further grant permission for first aid to be given to my child/children in an emergency and will be solely responsible for any medical costs which may arise. Swim Safe Practice/Meet Policy

For swim team participants under the age of 13, being Swim Safe Certified* by the 2nd B meet is required by the team and the Pool Board.  Athletes may participate in AFTERNOON practices and Time Trials without the certification, but will NOT be allowed to participate in MORNING practices or swim meets until they are Swim Safe Certified.  Team reps will verify Swim Safe status using the log maintained by the Pool Board.  Any athlete not Swim Safe Certified by the 2nd B Meet will be dropped from the team roster.  Parents may request a partial refund if their swimmer is unable to pass the Swim Safe test by the 2nd B meet; the partial refund will be offered at the sole discretion of the Swim Team Reps and handled on a case-by-case basis.  The team reps strongly encourage families to only register swimmers who they are confident can pass the Swim Safe test by the 2nd B meet.

*Swim Safe Certified refers to passing the Swim Safe Test administered by pool lifeguards. Refer to the pool's rules page for more information.
