2023 Greenbriar Dolphins Awards Banquet

The evening of July 22nd is when we celebrate the end of the season with our awards banquet. While it’s a little over a week away we are asking the following: 1.Like our swim meets, we are asking families to log in and declare or decline whether their swimmer and family members will attend the banquet ASAP. For those of you who are undeclared, please navigate to the event page and identify whether your swimmer will attend or not. This act alone helps us a great deal in planning for this event. Cost for the banquet will be $10 for $10+ and $5 for under 10 in the family. We will have pizza, pinwheels, fruit, and nuggets. All food you can eat with your hands! The additional cost helps cover the venue rental & food. Please make sure to use the personalization to notate who you are paying for! Thank you for your support. We need lot of volunteers to help with this last event of the season. We are hoping to serve the food to the tables instead of having everyone go through the line. At least serve the swimmers tables and then maybe the parents can go through the line. Please sign up to help in some way if you plan on attending the banquet. We are hoping to have each age group sit together to help the paper plate awards go a little faster this year. Join us for a swim and dive late night at the pool. We will try and stream a movie on a large outdoor screen for the 12 & under kids. Swim team will be providing pizza. Dive Team will provide the ice cream. Families are requested to bring the following items to supplement our refreshments: Families with the last name A-L: drinks - water, sports drink or soda Families with the last name M-Z: your favorite sundae toppings Volunteers are also needed for set-up, activities, and clean-up. This event is regularly shared as a favorite memory of our graduating seniors so let’s keep the tradition alive and give them an evening to remember. Non-host parents are expected to handle the remaining items necessary to pull this evening off. These items will be located in the in the “Job Signup” section for this event. We need non-host families to provide or do the following: 6 families to deliver appetizers to the appetizer host before the event starts. 6 families to deliver a main course the main course address between 6:00 and 6:30 on the day of the event. 6 families to deliver a dessert to the pool before dessert begins(9pm). 4 families to deliver 4 folding chairs each to the main course address before 2PM the day of the event. 4 families to deliver a folding table each to the main course address before 2PM the day of the event. 2 (possibly more) drivers with larger vehicles to shuttle guests from appetizers to main course 2 (possibly more) drivers with larger vehicles to shuttle guests from main course to dessert Finally, please don't forget to indicate through the events page whether your swimmer will attend or not. Trick or Treat! Bring some sweets. We’ll meet and eat. Dolphin pride can’t be beat!! Swim Meet Theme: For our Saturday (7/15/23) and Monday (7/17/23) swim meets, the theme is Halloween. Dress up in your favorite costume. Wear your outfit to the Friday Pep Rally, Saturday & Monday Home Meet! It’s the last pep rally of the season and we want to finish the season with a trunk or treat parade. Costumes & candy in July. Parents, if you want to participate in the trunk or treat, please park your cars on the left hand side of the parking lot closest to the pickle ball courts. Decorate your trunk and bring candy to hand out to the swimmers who will trick or treat after we eat. Pep Rally Activity: Trunk or Treat Pep Rally Meal Theme: Tex Mex Sponsoring Age Group: 13/14, 8 & under Main Dish: 13-14, 8 under Drinks: Soda and water will be available for purchase - with profits benefiting the team. You may print out the attached form and complete it prior to arriving on the pool deck. A scanned copy of the available offerings is also visible on this page. 7:15 am- photographer arrives at pool 8:00am- 13 & Ups and Early Birds arrive for individual photos (if your 13 and up has a sibling that you would like photographed with them please have them arrive at the pool at this time). All other swimmers arrive at the pool to get lined up for team picture starting at 8:25. After the team picture is taken, individual pictures of 11/12s, 9/10s, and 8&Unders will be taken in the wings. Even if you don't plan on ordering any pictures, please plan to be at the pool by 8:25am to be included in the team picture. Individual pictures will be taken following the team picture. |
